Addressing alcohol and drug-related issues: Reducing harm and supporting positive change.

We have published our latest Impact Report for the 2020/21 year to demonstrate the work of the charity and the outcomes we have delivered in that period. This report provides an overview of the services we provide across Northern Ireland and the difference we have made for our service users. It also includes case studies as examples of how we have supported young people, adults, families and communities.

ASCERT Chief Executive Gary McMichael says, “I am delighted that we have produced this report as a record of the impact we have continued to deliver through our excellent and much needed services. This report covers April 2020 to the end of March 2021, and this was a most challenging year for everyone as we navigated the fundamental changes in our lives that resulted from the Coronavirus pandemic. These were unprecedented times, and the thousands of people we support each year faced an additional adversity no-one was prepared for. I am very pleased that ASCERT was able to adapt its approach and its work to ensure that there was no break in services and that our service users continued to receive the support they needed. The outcomes detailed in this report demonstrates the significant outcomes and benefits from our work for service users across the community. I am very proud of the hard work, dedication and professionalism of our staff, which ensured that ensured that our services not only kept going without a pause, we were able to adapt our services to respond to community needs and continued to develop new services and projects.”
