Our Funders & Partners

ASCERT’s work is only possible with funding, donations and partnership working

ASCERT

is a charity that has been providing services across Northern Ireland that have been reducing alcohol and drug related harm in our communities for more than 20 years.

We are committed to ensuring individuals, families, workforces and communities are supported in the most effective way to deal with the challenges they face.

ASCERT receives its funding from a mix of sources including:

Our main income areas include:

  • Contracted/tendered service commissioning from statutory public bodies.
  • Fixed-term grants from charitable trusts and foundations.
  • Income from ‘invoiced’ training services.
  • Charitable donations from individuals, groups and organisations.

Partnership Working

ASCERT has wide-ranging experience of working in partnership with other organisations across all sectors, supporting their development or working with their clients and also delivering services together. We believe that partnership working offers a unique opportunity to share expertise, creativity and resources. This is why ASCERT has made partnership working a key approach to our work. Working together means different partners can play to their strengths. Above all, partnership working makes sense at a practical level – especially in the current economic climate. Our work with partner organisations means we can develop and deliver integrated services that are effective and value for money.

Partnership Projects

Young peoples intervention services

ASCERT partners with START360 on the delivery of the Drug and Alcohol Intervention Service for Young People (DAISY) which provides person-centred programmes for young people and young adults to help reduce the harm caused by their substance misuse and the Targeted Lifeskills Service  a prevention and harm reduction programme for young people.

Steps to Cope

ASCERT leads the Steps to Cope Partnership with SEHSCT, Addiction and the Family International Network (AFINet) and Barnardos NI. This partnership supports the development and implementation of the Steps to Cope model of intervention for young people experiencing the impact of parental alcohol, substance use or mental health difficulties.

Regional Rapid Response Addiction Service

A partnership with the Probation Board for Northern Ireland has led to the development of a Northern Ireland wide service that provides support to their clients that need fast tracked help with their addiction issues so they can get help quickly when they are facing crisis.
