Volunteer with ASCERT
“ASCERT values all our volunteers, they are at the very heart of ASCERT life, helping to raise awareness of the work that we do and raising vital funds so that we can help even more people in need of our services”
There are lots of ways to get involved with volunteering at ASCERT
- You can share your experience of ASCERT services and help to raise awareness of the work that ASCERT does and the difference it makes in the local community.
- Volunteer alongside ASCERT staff to provide administration support to services.
- Help to generate awareness of ASCERT and the services we provide by managing awareness stands at events in your community
- Turn pennies into pounds by placing and managing ASCERT collection cans in your local community
By volunteering for ASCERT; not only will you make a difference but you will new people, learn new skills, build your confidence and have fun!
Damien McDonagh has been volunteering for ASCERT for over 17 years:
“I volunteer in ASCERT’s Lisburn office one day a week and help out at fundraising collections when I can. The staff are friendly and work hard to help people in the local community. I really enjoy volunteering for ASCERT and have made some great friends over the years. It really is a great charity to volunteer for as they are helping people and making local communities safer by addressing drug and alcohol issues.”
Join ASCERT’s 21 Voices campaign to help us raise awareness and lobby on important issues.
No matter how you volunteer, you will make a real difference to the young people, adults, families, communities and workforces impacted by alcohol and drug use.
