Addressing alcohol and drug-related issues: Reducing harm and supporting positive change.

We were delighted to be shortlisted for the Best Flexible Working Strategy in the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development Northern Ireland awards ceremony that took place on 12th October in the iconic Titanic Belfast.
Our application was presented to CIPD NI by Siobhan Wolfe, Director of Finance & Corporate Services and Ella Wyse, Human Resources Manager, and as part of the assessment process, both were interviewed by a panel from the CIPD and ultimately shortlisted within the category for our strategy.
Our staff team of Ella, Emma, Rachael, Preeti and Ashleigh pulled out all the stops for the awards ceremony itself – hosted by actress & musical theatre star Denise Van Outen – enjoying a delicious meal with entertainment.
We were the only charity to be shortlisted on the evening alongside some of Northern Ireland’s largest and most prestigious organisations including PwC, Danske Bank UK, Almac Group, Coca-Cola HBC, First Derivatives plc and NI Water to name a few.
We were runners up on the night with Musgrave scooping the award, but we are extremely proud to have been shortlisted in these prestigious awards, demonstrating that our Flexible Working Strategy is one of the best in Northern Ireland.
Gary McMichael, ASCERT Chief Executive said “I am delighted that we were runner up in the CIPD NI Awards, and ASCERT being the only charity shortlisted in any category, is testimony to the care and support we provide to our staff with a flexible approach enabling us to deliver our vital drug and alcohol services to the Northern Ireland community.”
