This interactive half-day training gives participants an overview of self-injury and self-harm from a theoretical and practical perspective. We will discuss triggers and motivation in relation to harm-minimisation; identify appropriate responses and potential support mechanisms for our clients. Participants will gain transferable practical skills to implement during assessments and interventions from a ‘trauma informed’ perspective. |
Eligibility: This course is available free to Teachers, youth workers, family support workers, social workers, professionals working in or through family support hubs, other individuals working in health and social services, education, criminal justice and the voluntary and community sector.
