Targeted Education Service - Education and Training for Young People

The Targeted Education Service for Young People offers a wide selection of course options. All courses will be planned through discussion with group organisers and the young people themselves. These courses are free to young people in the Belfast and South Eastern Heath & Social Care Trust areas.

The Targeted Youth Service is a partnership between ASCERT and Opportunity Youth and is funded by the Eastern Drug and Alcohol Co-ordination Team

TEAMWORX – includes an OCN Level 1 in drugs awareness and OCN Level 1 in using teamwork skills – the group project ties in with the unit on teamwork skills	18
Peer Leadership Programme – OCN Level 2 in Leadership, groupwork and communication skills. Aims to develop young people’s leadership skills and enable them to be a positive role model to peers relating to substance use	12
