Course content

The focus of this course is to look at theoretical approaches to tackling substance misuse in a NI & UK wide context with a focus on delivering high quality, equitable services to all service users

  •         Modalities & approaches of treatment

  •         Diversity issues for service users

  • Who is this course for?

    Anyone who is working with clients who are engaged in drug and alcohol related risk taking behaviours and who want to get practical help & develop tools around working with users, in order to make their work more impactful & effective.

    This training is FREE

    to people working or living in the Belfast and South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust areas

    Accreditation?

    Accreditation is Optional. This unit can be taken as a stand alone OCN NI accredited module @ Level 3. Additionally this unit can be taken in combination to achieve the NOCN Award in Tackling Substance Misuse (Generalist Worker). There is NO requirement to do the accreditation if joining this course
