Elaine Dickson, Office Administrator
Elaine is the Office Administrator and has worked in ASCERT since January 2003. Her duties include: 'Day to Day management of Administration' which entails administrative support to project staff and the Project Co-ordinator, maintaining the website, organising the Library etc. Elaine also works alongside the Training administrator and oversees administrative volunteers. At the moment ASCERT has 3 volunteers working in the administration department.
Elaine is full time and can be contacted at the office from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. All enquiries welcome. |

Alison Holdsworth

Alison Holdsworth, Community Support
Alison is part of the Community Support Service Team and works with groups using a mentoring approach. This involves unlocking a communities potential to maximize their performance. It is about helping them learn through determining their own actions rather than by teaching them. Alison Holdworth geographically covers Lisburn City & Glenavy.
The Community Support service will source appropriate Alcohol & Drug training to further support local groups to develop and implement initiatives that address substance misuse at a community level and will provide the link between communities and other similar services.

Damien McDonagh, Volunteer Administration Assistant
Damien has been an Administration Assistant with ASCERT since July 2004. In 2006, Damien was awarded 'Volunteer of the year' and in 2008 successfuly completed the OCN Level 2 Community Drugs Awareness Course. His responsibilities in the office can be varied, these include:
- Shredding
- Photocopying
- Answering the telephone
- Creating and updating Databases
- Creating Powerpoints for presentations
- Creating brochures
- Monthly Fix - Monthly Fix is a monthly ASCERT Community Support E-Newsletter filled with up to date information around substance misuse within our communities
- Daily Dose - Getting up to date information on drugs, printing them out and filing them.
- Helping to maintain and update ASCERT's website
Damien is in ASCERT 18 hours per week from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm, Monday, Thursday and Friday. |
